Bounce Update: 2024 Roadmap

In 2024, Bounce Brand sets forth an ambitious vision to elevate the Bitcoin ecosystem and enhance Bitcoin’s smart contract functionality. Central to this transformative journey is BounceBit, a pioneering BTC staking chain solution, designed to establish a smart contract execution environment around the BTC Token. BounceBit introduces innovative concepts such as BounceBox and the BounceBit App Store, offering a tailored Web3 space and a user-friendly hub for users to build and deploy decentralized applications on BounceBit.

Bounce’s 2024 roadmap unfolds with the BounceBit “Water Margin” event, enticing users to deposit and build TVL on BounceBit through a fun, interactive interface. February sees the launch of the ‘BounceBit AI Low Cap Season,’ supporting advanced AI projects and vitalizing the BounceBit ecosystem. March brings the unveiling of BounceBox, a creative space for both creators and users to start building and experiencing various Web3 activities on BounceBitx An exclusive early bird access phase for BounceBox will be offered in March. April marks the groundbreaking launch of BounceBit, with the BTC Halving Event seamlessly aligning with Bounce Brand’s vision in April, reinforcing their commitment to enhancing Bitcoin’s value. From May to December, the focus shifts to building the BounceBit Ecosystem, particularly the BounceBit App Store, envisioned as a dynamic hub for Bitcoin-related decentralized applications. Simultaneously, efforts intensify to drive BounceBox adoption, positioning it as an essential tool in Bitcoin-based financial activities.

The roadmap concludes by emphasizing BounceBit’s pivotal role in realizing Bounce Brand’s long-term vision, foreseeing a future where BounceBit is synonymous with a versatile, secure, and user-centric Bitcoin experience. The commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation remains steadfast, ensuring that Bounce Brand’s contributions pave the way for a more dynamic and inclusive Bitcoin ecosystem in the years to come.

Bitcoin’s Layer-2 Renaissance

Bitcoin, having faced congestion in 2023 due to NFT and token experiments, is poised for a transformative shift. The “Bitcoin Layers” report by Spartan Group and Kyle Ellicott suggests that layer-2 networks, akin to Ethereum’s, could address Bitcoin’s limitations. While established solutions like Lightning Network show promise, the report emphasizes the emergence of new projects, marking a renaissance in Bitcoin’s builder culture.

The ‘Big Four’ layer-2 projects, including Lightning, Stacks, Liquid, and Rootstock, aim to enhance Bitcoin’s functionalities. Stacks’ Nakamoto Release, for instance, promises faster transaction speeds, a crucial upgrade for the network. Beyond these, innovative projects like Ark and MintLayer are filling technical gaps, offering unique features such as off-chain payments and DeFi optimization.

This layer-2 momentum reflects Bitcoin’s readiness to explore layered architecture, echoing Ethereum’s success and providing solutions to its inherent limitations.

Coinbase’s African Expansion with Yellow Card

Shifting our focus to Africa, Coinbase is making significant strides in expanding access to its products. Partnering with Yellow Card, a leading African stablecoin exchange, Coinbase aims to usher in the future of money. This collaboration facilitates millions of users gaining access to USDC on Base, offering fast, reliable, and cost-effective transactions.

The initiative addresses specific needs in emerging economies, where high inflation and remittance dependency pose challenges. Through USDC, Coinbase and Yellow Card aim to provide economic freedom, support savings in volatile economies, streamline remittances with lower fees, and empower small and medium enterprises.

This move aligns with Coinbase’s “Go Broad, Go Deep” strategy, contributing to a more open, accessible, and global financial system.

Sotheby’s Exclusive Auction in Partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America

In an extraordinary collaboration, Sotheby’s is teaming up with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to host an exclusive auction showcasing the works of America’s most sought-after designers. This prestigious event will feature an array of iconic designs and rare pieces generously donated by CFDA members and prominent collectors of American fashion. Scheduled for January 23rd, this auction is not just a celebration of artistry but a philanthropic endeavor. The full proceeds from this auction will contribute to the CFDA Foundation, supporting CFDA Scholarships and facilitating business mentoring to foster the next generation of American fashion designers. It’s a unique opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind fashion pieces and, at the same time, invest in the future of the American fashion industry.

BFAMI’s “Beacon of Light’’ Art Exhibition at Sotheby’s

Sotheby’s is set to host the “Beacon of Light’’ Art Exhibition by the British Friends of the Art Museums of Israel (BFAMI) from January 18th to 24th. This exceptional exhibition will feature artworks donated by acclaimed artists, including Jenny Saville RA, Joel Mesler, Martin Damman, Eleanor Johnson, Ron Arad RA, Sophie von Hellerman, Sigalit Landau, and many more. The live auction, scheduled for Thursday, January 25th, at 9:00 PM in Central London, will be a captivating event where these remarkable pieces find new homes. The funds generated from this art sale will play a crucial role in supporting emergency relief, educational, and art therapy programs run by the art museums in Israel. Beyond the transaction of art, this event stands as a beacon of support for the arts and humanitarian causes.
